Deep Practice: 21-Day Ayahuasca Retreat
Following the initial two weeks retreat, the more experienced and resilient students will join us for a third week where we will give our utmost effort.
The initiates will take part in the traditional waterfall ceremony (Tuna Karamamu), walking the way that leads to the learning of dreaming, as they drink Tobacco and spend the night next to the waterfall. After receiving the Tuna’s purification, they return home to begin Natemamu — an ancient and demanding way of drinking ayahuasca passed down through generations. Both a powerful purge and an unparalleled trance, this ritual offers the possibility to a profound realization through the spirit, in intimate dialogue with the jungle — the same dialogue our elders once knew, and that still echoes through the ancient paths of this tradition.
We will finish this journey with at least two or three more sessions of Ayahuasca. It goes without saying that the depth of the trance and understanding of the Union with Life is all the more remarkable now, following the practices we have embraced.
The whole retreat will be guided by Master Arutam Ruyman, and with the presence of our beloved elder and grandmother, Rosa Jimpikit, who will be sharing with us lots of teachings and oral tales about the Shuar culture and tradition.
