CUMBRES DE ARUTAM
Initiation Retreat
7 and 14 days Retreat
The duration of these retreats can be short — one or two weeks — but still offer a serious entrance into the path: an opportunity to begin working with sacred plants, experience traditional Shuar Natem ceremonies, and learn through direct contact with the forest.
Practice in the jungle —in the waterfalls, in the forest— may include walking simple trails, fasting, preparing, holding devotion, understanding, and receiving Ruymán’s guidance.
The center is open to those who sincerely wish to begin this path with respect, and take their first steps into traditional Amazonian practice. The whole retreat will be guided by Master Arutam Ruyman, and with the presence of our beloved elder and grandmother, Rosa Jimpikit, who will be sharing with us lots of teachings and oral tales about the Shuar culture and tradition, during the stay.
If one or two weeks feel too short and you’re ready to embrace a deeper, more challenging practice, we invite you to join our 21-day advanced retreat.
